چکیده

Abstract The stem rot and fusarium vascular wilt are among the main factors most limiting passion fruit cultivation in State of Mato Grosso. This study aimed to evaluate resistance / susceptibility genus Passiflora species soil pathogens from different biomes Grosso (Cerrado, Pantanal Amazon). part I evaluated response P. edulis Sims, foetida, nitida quadrangularis on eight isolates F. solani. In II was genotypes mucronata, morifolia three oxysporum f. sp. passiflorae. experimental design randomized blocks factorial arrangement (genotypes x isolates). statistical analysis used for both steps were variance analyses by F test grouping averages Scott-Knott (P =0.05). Among solani found that FS8A FS3P more aggressive, indicating genetic variability isolates. resistant pathogen nitidaand foetida. passiflorae there no significant difference aggressive levels, mucronata Fusarium. Thus nitida, foetida mucronatacan be indicated as a source improvement commercial passionfruit programs.

Wound-induced pectin methylesterases enhance banana (Musa spp. AAA) susceptibility to Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense

Recent studies suggest that plant pectin methylesterases (PMEs) are directly involved in plant defence besides their roles in plant development. However, the molecular mechanisms of PME action on pectins are not well understood. In order to understand how PMEs modify pectins during banana (Musa spp.)-Fusarium interaction, the expression and enzyme activities of PMEs in two banana cultivars, hig...

Histopathological features of infections caused by Fusarium oxysporum and F. solani in purple passionfruit plants (Passiflora edulis Sims)

Summa Phytopathol., Botucatu, v. 40, n. 2, p. 134-140, 2014 The purple passionfruit plant, Passiflora edulis Sims, ranks second in fruit exportation in Colombia, and its main destination is the European market. However, its production is affected by several diseases, including fusariosis. This paper presents the histopathological features of different tissues affected by the pathogens Fusarium ...

Evaluations of shorter exposures of contact lens cleaning solutions against Fusarium oxysporum species complex and Fusarium solani species complex to simulate inappropriate usage.

An outbreak of Fusarium keratitis in contact lens users resulted in withdrawal of ReNu with MoistureLoc solution, although the exact cause of the outbreak remains enigmatic. We evaluated current and discontinued multipurpose cleaning solutions (MPSs; MoistureLoc, Equate, MultiPlus, and OptiFree Express) against plankton- and biofilm-derived cells of Fusarium oxysporum species complex (FOSC) and...

In Vitro Toxin Production by Fusarium solani f. sp. piperis

Fusarium solani f. sp. piperis (teleomorph: Nectria haematococca f. sp. piperis), causal agent of root rot and stem blight on black pepper (Piper nigrum), produces secondary metabolites with toxigenic properties, capable of inducing vein discoloration in detached leaves and wilting in transpiring microcuttings. Production of F. solani f. sp. piperis (Fsp) toxic metabolites reached a peak after ...
